We took home the Security Project of the Year award for our transformative partnership with Tata Steel at Port Talbot steelworks.
Members of the Safer Group team celebrated at a glittering evening ceremony at JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London on the 1st December.
This accolade recognises our delivery of one of the most advanced and resilient security solutions within UK industry, implemented across the 2,500 acre Port Talbot steelworks - one of the country’s largest and most complex industrial environments.
The project addressed significant challenges including open geography, multiple vulnerable access points, high-risk operational hazards, and severe weather conditions.
Our winning solution, which included our Safer POD® devices, integrated with Tata Steel's on-site team to significantly reduce incidents and enhance the visibility of a site-wide crime deterrent.

Most notably Tata Steel, who played no small part in this achievement by supporting us, and continuing to put trust in our solution, throughout the stages of this project.
The win follows last year’s success in the Product Innovation category, with the award presented to our Safer POD® S4.
Repeated successes have reinforced our position at the forefront of the UK security industry.
Elsewhere at the Security and Fire Awards for Excellence 2025, Safer Group were highly commended in the Security or Fire ESG Initiative of the Year category.
