'The scuttle thing'

A curious 4-year-old boy named William was captivated by one of our Safer PODs, spotted while shopping with his family.

Affectionately dubbing it the scuttle thing, he was full of questions about the device's purpose and how it was protecting the store.

William and his family decided to write to us, sharing the special stories they had created together about the guardian scuttle thing and its adventures, putting a massive smile on everyone's faces.

A special gift

The young boy's excitement touched us deeply, and we knew we had to make his Christmas extra special!

In the spirit of the season, our marketing team decided to prepare a personalised gift box for William, complete with a special note from Ryan, our Group Chief Executive.

The mini-POD

The highlight of the package was a custom-designed, 3D-printed model of a Safer POD® device: an exact replica of the Safer POD® S1, complete with intricate details.

The team put significant effort into choosing the perfect colours, finishes, and materials to ensure the mini-POD (as we called it) matched the real thing as closely as possible.

It was William’s very own scuttle thing brought to life, thoughtfully crafted to ignite even more fascination in his young mind.

Inspiring the next generation

When William’s family kindly shared videos of him opening the special gift, his excitement and joy resonated with our entire team.

It reminded us why we do what we do. Not just protecting sites, but also creating moments of wonder, and inspiring the next generation to dream and explore.
